Everyone has a different journey in life. They face different obstacles along the way. Some turn out being a lot harder than others. For this reason it is important to be kind-even if they aren't being kind to you. Try to show empathy. I know this isn't always the easiest, especially if the person is not kind at all and you think doesn't deserve any kindness towards them, but try anyways. You never know what kind of a difference that little bit of kindness you showed will end up having.
